Amy Stewart, MSW, SWC

I’m Amy Stewart, and I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Speech
Science from CU-Boulder and my Master’s in Social Work from the Colorado Springs campus of Newman
University. I am a clinical social work candidate who specializes in working with young people,
caregivers, and families. My years of experience include strengthening individuals and families through
networking with community resources, case management, traditional school social work, school-based
therapy, crisis response, and private practice.

I strive to empower those I work with in a non-judgmental, caring way. I am grounded in trauma-
informed care, and I implement a strengths-based, solutions-focused approach. I use an eclectic blend of
modalities including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, and
Cognitive Processing Therapy. I am driven to provide cutting-edge treatment through up-to-date,
research-based training and techniques while leaning into tried-and-true methods for overall well-being.
She embraces diverse populations and specializes in supporting clients of all ages as they work through
anxiety, depression, conflict, grief, crisis, suicidality, and life transitions.
