I’m Jeri Yingling, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and Approved Clinical Supervisor based in beautiful Woodland Park, Colorado.

Children experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression and other challenges communicate with us through their behaviors. I specialize in helping parents and children understand the meaning and purpose behind those behaviors. I help children build the resiliency they need to overcome past challenges and thrive at home, in school and in their communities.

I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Allegheny University and Master's degrees in Human Development and Family Studies (Kansas State University) and Mental Health Counseling (Capella University). I spent 26 years serving military families in several capacities including a Military & Family Life Counselor, a parent educator for the Military Child Education Coalition and caretaker and director of child development centers at various installations around the world. I opened Crystal Creek Counseling in 2017.

Mocha is known as the "Ambassador of Play." He is a "Borderdoodle"- which is a combination of a Border Collie and Poodle. He loves kids and has special training to work with Jeri in Play therapy sessions. When not playing, Mocha loves to hike, kayak and chase squirrels. Mocha passed the Canine Good Citizen Test and is working towards becoming a Certified Animal Assisted Play Therapy co-therapist.

River
River is a mini "Bernedoodle"- which is a combination of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a miniature Poodle. He loves kids and has special training to work with Jeri in Play therapy sessions. When not playing, River loves to hike, snuggle, and bark at nearby wildlife. River passed the Canine Good Citizen Test and is working towards becoming a Certified Animal Assisted Play Therapy co-therapist.
