Children, adolescents, and youth are naturally inclined to approach life’s challenges through play, creative expression, and exploration of boundaries. I have a history of positively influencing individuals and families through such interactions and understand the importance of providing a safe and expressive environment where creative problem solving can happen. I specialize in tailoring therapeutic interventions to the appropriate developmental stage of the client and to the specific needs
of the individual within family and community systems. I have been successful in assisting clients and their families with finding new ways to communicate, with building more satisfying relationships, and with setting and attaining life goals.

At Crystal Creek Counseling, I utilize play, sand tray, and art intervention
techniques. I also bring a strong background in cognitive behavioral, dialectical, and
motivational interviewing interventions which are especially useful for helping individuals and family systems affected by trauma, suicidal issues, drug and alcohol abuse, and personality disorders.

Cancellations and Weather Policy
Cancelled appointments must be done prior to 24 hours (unless extenuating circumstances). A fee will be assessed to those appointments canceled within 24 hours. Phone messages may be left at 719-686-6703. We check messages during weekdays and try to return phone calls within 24 hours.

School Holidays
The Salida office is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. The Salida location is also closed during the Salida School District's spring break, Thanksgiving break and winter break.
